What's it all about?
For me food is about so much more than eating. It’s about memory, childhood, culture and celebration. So I write about food and books – but really I just make connections between what I read, the time of year, what I feel like cooking, or what I spy when I go to market. It’s personal. I don’t need much prompting to cook, but now and again I like to have reason to make a particular dish or find something new to make. So - expect the unexpected, the obscure and whatever catches my eye as I chase Alice down the rabbit hole in pursuit of things to good things to read and great things to eat.
I hope you enjoy reading the little essays as much as I do writing them.
